Dr. Pagdin Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy for Men

Circle Objective Abstract:

A surge of interest and research in potential alternatives to conventional hormone therapy has taken place. Despite a lack of evidence to support its safety and efficacy, one of those alternatives, Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT), has been used for the treatment of male hormonal conditions (e.g., andropause, thyropause, and adrenopause) through the use of bioidentical plant- and extract-based compounds. This Circle aims to remotely collect patient-reported symptoms and health-related, quality-of-life data among male patients pre- and post-administration of BHRT. To collect these data, this Circle will utilize the Aging Male Symptoms Scale (AMS). Enrolled patients will be followed for 18 months following the administration of BHRT and will complete patient-reported outcome measures on a quarterly basis following treatment. The collection of real-world data from this Circle will provide additional evidence in determining the safety and efficacy of BHRT among male patients.
